Shaye Smith is a Grammy nominated songwriter with more than 10 world-wide #1 hits and songs appearing on more than 25 million albums sold.  She's received 10 BMI Awards, 2 CCMA Song of the Year awards, a Music Row Magazine Song of the Year award & a Dove nomination.



Her songs have been recorded by such artists as Kenny Chesney, Jewel, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Five For Fighting, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Collin Raye, Sara Evans, Chely Wright, Jo Dee Messina, Jamie O'Neal, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Emerson Drive and many more.



Smith has produced more than 500 songs in her 20+ years in Nashville and recently co-produced a song on country star and actor Billy Ray Cyrus and two songs on Joel Smallbone of the Christian rock band For King and Country for the movie, "Like A Country Song."  The movie's title track, featuring Cyrus, was recently released to Country, Bluegrass and Americana radio.  Smith also co-produced Nashville rock group Fools For Rowan.

 

Smith was also an All-American basketball player at the University of Arkansas at

Monticello, where she was recently inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame.
